I serve at the pleasure of my clients. I started Merino Travels after being in tourism for 5 years and I always felt bounded by pre-made tours. I want to be able to deliver everything you would always want for your trips but we give you the opportunity to divert from the normal as well! I have been to over 40 countries and I do my best to experience all the trips that we sell. Building the personal relationships with our operators is the key to delivering the best products for you.  My favorite route to the top is Machame also known as the Whiskey Route!

I graduated from the College of African Wildlife Management and it was my dream to open my own operation in Moshi. I am from Mweka and come from the local Chagga tribe. We love to use our local crews to assist in the Kilimanjaro climbs and myself along with 7 more guides will be accompanying you on any tour that you book with us. I have been working in the industry for over 12 years and some of my team has been climbing Kilimanjaro and other tours for well over 20 years. I speak English, Swahili, and Chagga and we will do our very best to meet all of your needs once we great you for a local tour or at the airport. Hakuna Matata and we look forward to greeting you here in Moshi! My favorite route to the top of is Marangu and I also love Ngoro-Ngoro for the safaris the most. 

I have been climbing Kilimanjaro and started as a porter at the age of 18 and I am also an alumni at the Mweka Wildlife College. I have been to the summit over 85 times & I have done almost every job that we have on the Kilimanjaro climbs and being a guide is by far my favorite. I specialize in as one of the medical guides and if you get me as one of your guides I will be assisting with your daily check-ins. We want to make sure that we do everything that we can to fix a situation if you're experiencing any altitude or other related issues. My favorite route is also the Machame and I love using the Mweka to exit the park as it's the fastest way down!
